Fishing

Fishing is the activity you can come back to at any time. Each cast can bring back a fish, experience and fish coins, the currency of the fishing shop. Some species are only found by diving.

Stamina

Every cast costs stamina. Your base stamina refills over time, and you can raise its maximum in the shop. Some items give bonus stamina, shown as a separate bar: it is spent first, but casts made with it cannot bring back event fish or bonus items.

Combo

Successful catches in a row build your combo. The higher it goes, the more coins and experience each catch gives. A failed cast sends it back to zero.

Rods

A better rod raises your success rate and unlocks new fish. Each rod is unlocked by catching specific fish, and after an upgrade you have to wait a mastery delay before the next rod becomes available. Advanced rods also cost upkeep in fish coins on every cast: if you cannot pay it, you fish with bare hands until you earn enough.

Baits and items

• Baits each give an advantage: a better success rate, rarer fish, more experience or more coins. You equip one at a time, and it is used up on every cast.
• Lucky Charm: a daily passive that saves a failed cast.
• Stamina Ball: gives bonus stamina. It can drop while fishing, and you get one when you vote.

Expeditions and rarity

Each expedition region has its own fish. To catch them, you need at least the rod tier shown in your codex. Without the right rod, you only catch fish from the base pool.

Fish come in seven rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Big Catch (monstrous creatures tied to expedition regions) and Special (endgame creatures that only the best equipment can reach).

Selling

Sell your catch for berries at the market with /fish market. The rarer the fish, the more it is worth.

Hatchan’s Voyage

With Premium, you can send Hatchan fishing once a day. He takes your current rod and expedition, fishes on his own without bait or combo, and brings the results back when he returns. You cannot fish yourself while he is away.
